Welcome to the Lotawana Fire Protection District

The Lotawana Fire Protection District was incorporated as a tax supported district in 1975. The actual history goes back to much earlier, somewhere in the 1940's when individuals living at the lake responded with whatever was available to meet the emergency. Since that time, many changes have occurred. Today Lotawana Fire is responsible for fire protection, fire prevention, Emergency Medical Services, water and ice rescues, motor vehicle accidents, and a variety of community needs. Lotawana Fire serves the City of Lake Lotawana, Tarsney Lakes, Easley Estates, and the unincorporated areas of Jackson County in a 14 square mile radius.
